Ten Recommendations for Your Drinking Regime
- To keep the inner environment of our body in balance we need to take in at least 2 litres of liquids per day, in case of high temperatures at least 3 litres.
- The quantity of liquids and the composition of the drinking regime should be adapted to individual needs and requirements, depending on age, health, etc.
- We should start our day with a 0,2 l glass of spring water (KORYTNICKÁ – Non-Sparkling Spring Water).
- We should consume a wide range of mineral waters (KORYTNICA – Natural Mineral Water), curative waters (KORYTNICA – Natural Curative Water) and spring waters (KORYTNICKÁ – Non-Sparkling Spring Water, AQUA NOVA – Spring Water) with optimum mineral content.
- Half of the recommended quantity of liquids should be consumed between 9.00 a.m. and 2.00 p.m., i. e. during the first half of the day.
- We should not drink extremely cold beverages as they worsen digestion and might cause inflammation of stomach mucous membrane. The temperature of the beverage should be equal to the room temperature.
- Alcoholic and caffeine beverages have diuretic effects and dehydrate our body. During their consumption we should not forget to refill liquids although we might not feel the need (KORYTNICA – Natural Mineral Water and KORYTNICKÁ – Non-Sparkling Spring Water)
- We cannot subordinate the intake of liquids to the feeling of thirst. The thirst cannot be the only indicator of the need of liquid intake.
- We should reduce the intake of sweet beverages and lemonades containing a high quantity of sugar.
- We should always have a bottle of water (min. 1,5 litres) by hand, especially those who have trouble keeping the drinking regime.
